CAM vs. Load Factor

This session will focus on helping property managers and owners understand how tenant occupancy costs are calculated using rent, load factor, and CAM, while also exploring how rentable and usable square footage are determined and the impact these concepts have on leasing negotiations?
I think this could be a great opportunity to involve members of our Floor Measurement Standards Committee as panelists. Through the Interpretation Subcommittee, we frequently receive questions such as, "Why am I paying for space I don't occupy?" Understanding the principles behind floor measurement, load factors, and occupancy costs is critical for property managers and owners so they can confidently and effectively communicate these concepts to tenants and help reduce disputes.
